2025 UVU PFP 4.01(K) Race to Retirement

Many folks are challenged with economic issues that impact their ability to retire one day. In the United States, 25 percent of Americans have no retirement savings, and 62 percent of Americans aged 18 to 29 have retirement savings, but only 28 percent feel like their savings are sufficient.

Utah Valley University's Personal Financial Planning Program is ranked as one of the top 10 programs in the nation. The 4.01K Race to Retirement was created by an engaged alumni group from the Personal Financial Program who wanted to give back to its current students and the community.

The Personal Financial Planning Program cultivates the next generation of financial professionals who will help individuals win the race to retirement. How is the "4.01K" race going to help? Employers and employees can change the retirement landscape with consistency and time, but there is still an education gap when it comes to benefits and best practices.

April is the start of Financial Literacy Month. This is a time dedicated to shining a light on the power of financial wellness. Nearly half of employees (46 percent) say that in the last year, their mental health has impacted their ability to do their job to the best of their ability. This race is built to showcase and learn about your finances. Come win the Race to Retirement, because getting your money right is no joke.
